[UPDATE] The GTA 6 Leaks Keep Coming, and Rockstar's Takedowns Are Doing the Confirming

Quick heads-up before you go looking: everything below is leaked, unofficial footage pulled from what looks like an in-development build, and none of it is Rockstar showing you GTA 6 on purpose. The official version is still the one we wrote about at the weekend — an old build, doing the rounds early. This is the same saga, just bigger.

What's actually new

Since that first dump, more clips have crawled out. A third showed Jason wandering a strip club interior; a fourth went up on Wednesday, August 19, this time leaning on driving. GameSpot reports that fans who reposted the footage started catching DMCA takedowns from Rockstar almost immediately, which is the tell that matters. You don't send lawyers after a fake.

The map is the odd one out. Push Square notes Rockstar has been hammering the video clips but has left the leaked map image sitting on X untouched, so its authenticity is genuinely still up in the air. Read the takedown pattern for what it is: the videos, Rockstar clearly wants gone. The map, less clear.

Who's behind it

The group taking credit calls itself CYBERLEEK, and per Push Square they've already started making demands of Rockstar and waving threats at other publishers. That's the part I'd keep an eye on. A leak is a leak; a group treating a leak as leverage is a different animal, and it rarely ends with the leaker on top.

Should you watch?

Your call, but here's mine: it's an old build, the footage is scrappy, and the actual reason to wait is only a week out. Rockstar's own Extended Look lands August 27, first on Netflix for a few hours, then on its own channels. That'll be the clean, current, deliberately-framed version. The leaks are a keyhole. The showcase is the open door.
