File this firmly under unconfirmed, because it's a CSS class name and not a great deal more. Dataminers poking at Blizzard's Gear Store website found a colour theme in the backend code originally labelled "wow-camelot__color-scheme", then quietly renamed to "wow-2__color-scheme", and with BlizzCon set for September 12 to 13, the "WoW 2" reading spread fast.
Icy Veins, which reported the find, is sensibly cautious about it. A colour palette tag isn't a product title. The likeliest boring explanation is that it's a second WoW-themed store palette and "wow-2" is just how someone named the file. That's genuinely all the code tells you.
The Camelot thread
Here's why it's not quite nothing. "Camelot" has been floating around Blizzard for a while now. Dataminers found "World of Warcraft Camelot" Heroic and Epic edition license entries back in June, and Blizzard had WoW Classic influencers in the studio in May. Most people reading the tea leaves think that points at Classic+ content rather than a numbered sequel.
So: something called Camelot looks real enough to keep half an eye on, and BlizzCon next weekend is the obvious place for it. A full-blown "World of Warcraft 2" off the back of a renamed store stylesheet, though? I wouldn't. Wait for the stage, not the CSS.
