Straight up: this is unconfirmed. Nintendo has announced none of it. What's going around are leaked packaging images, surfaced on August 11, of a Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2, with a dock carrying a black-and-gold Triforce pattern and a matching Pro Controller.
How credible is it
Better than most, worse than a press release. The August images line up with a similar set that leaked back in July, reported by outlets including GamingBible and Wccftech. Two independent-looking leaks describing the same hardware is more than one blurry photo. It's still not Nintendo saying the words, and until it is, treat the design, the timing and the very existence of the thing as provisional.
The theory is that the special-edition console launches alongside a Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, which has been heavily reported for Switch 2 this year but which Nintendo has yet to formally date. Notably, the leakers reckon the console art won't actually be N64-themed, so if you were hoping for chunky 1998 vibes, temper that.
If it's real, a Direct is the obvious place to make it official, and there's no shortage of showcase season ahead. If it's not, well, this is what August looks like when everyone's waiting for Nintendo to say something. We'll update if it firms up.
