THQ Nordic ran its annual digital showcase on Friday, and it was the usual publisher grab-bag: a bit of everything, no single jaw-dropper. That is fine. What it did have, unlike a lot of these sizzle-reel events, was a couple of actual dates and one game you can play right now.
Titan Quest II is out (in Early Access)
The one for the ARPG crowd: Titan Quest II has dropped into Steam Early Access with a proper gameplay reveal and a Spirit Mastery update. It is not the finished game, but it is hands-on rather than another trailer, which is more than most showcases offer.
Dates worth circling
Way of the Hunter 2 leaves PC Early Access and launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 29. And if you have ever wanted to play the cult-classic Gothic games on a console, THQ Nordic is bringing the originals to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S across the year: Gothic II Complete Classic on September 29, then Gothic III Classic on November 24. The full Gothic 1 Remake is still cooking, but it is getting a Photo Mode, a developer-style Marvin Mode, full mod-kit support and alternative progression in future updates.
The rest of it
Wreckfest 2 is still adding cars, tracks and modes in Early Access, though there is no console date yet. Elsewhere there were fresh looks at Expeditions: Samurai, The Eternal Life of Goldman and The Guild: Europa 1410, plus a Prisoner DLC for REANIMAL. THQ Nordic says it has 29 games in development with 12 still unannounced, so this was never going to be the whole hand. As showcases go, dates beat teasers, and this one had a few.
