Sony's State of Play on September 3 won't be the only show that day. Konami is running its own Press Start broadcast immediately afterwards, at 8am PDT, and it's giving itself about half an hour.

What's on the card

Per Siliconera, the confirmed lineup is heavy on the two names you'd hope for. There's fresh gameplay of Silent Hill: Townfall, which is out September 24, and Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, due October 15. Rev.NoiR, the one Konami first showed at February's State of Play, gets another look, and there's room set aside for the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, eFootball, Project Zircon and a Super Bomberman Collection.

Manage your expectations

Here's the honest bit. Konami has flat-out said, via Shacknews, that there will be no announcements about the Silent Hill remake, and that the show isn't the place for new reveals. So read it for what it is: more footage of games you already know are coming, some of it broadcast-exclusive, rather than a night of surprises.

That's not a knock. Townfall's a fortnight out and a longer look is genuinely useful. Just don't sit down expecting Konami to pull something out of a hat, because they've told you in advance they won't.
