Nintendo's doing two Directs in two days this week. Yesterday's was the Zelda 40th show, which handed us an Ocarina of Time remake for November 5. Today is the bigger one: a Switch 2 Direct, and it's live at 3pm UK time (7am PT / 10am ET).
When and where
Nintendo has it at roughly 45 minutes, streaming on its YouTube channel and through the Nintendo Today! app. A Treehouse gameplay stream follows straight after for anyone who wants a longer look at whatever gets shown. Nintendo says the focus is Switch 2 games landing this winter, which is the polite way of saying "the stuff we want you buying before the holidays."
What's actually confirmed
Almost nothing, which is normal. Nintendo hasn't named a single game. All we have officially is the runtime, the winter framing, and the platform. Everything past that is leak territory.
What the leakers are saying
The wishlist doing the rounds is a new Super Smash Bros., a new Star Fox, and a fresh 3D Mario. Those are the same names that turned up before yesterday's show too, so treat them as hopeful rather than nailed on. A 45-minute runtime is long enough for a couple of genuine surprises, but it's also long enough to be padded with release-date confirmations and third-party sizzle reels. We'll know at 3pm.
If you only care about one thing, it's probably which of those big first-party games gets a date. That's the bit worth setting an alarm for.
