Red Horizon, the last season of The Division 2's Year 8, lands on September 1. It's not a full overhaul, but there's enough new here, the Cleaners returning, a Blackout Dark Zone, a fresh seasonal modifier, that a bit of prep now saves you a scramble on day one. Here's the short list.

Clear your stash and bench

New season means a new brand set and new gear. If your inventory is full of Broken Rain leftovers you'll be deconstructing on the fly while everyone else is playing. Dump what you're not using and bank some materials now.

Build for burn, not just damage

The Cleaners are back in the open world, including a season-limited elite squad called 95 Company. Cleaners fight with fire, so status resistance and armour-on-kill talents earn their slot against them more than they do against a generic patrol. Have a second loadout ready if you normally run glass cannon.

Feel out the Blackout before you commit

The Dark Zone gets a Blackout variant this season. The full details land at launch, but the safe move with any new DZ mode is the old one. Go in with a throwaway loadout the first few runs, learn what's changed, and don't go rogue with gear you'd hate to lose until you know how it plays.

Read the modifier

Under Pressure is the new seasonal modifier. These tend to reward building around them rather than ignoring them, so check what it actually does once the notes are live and tune one build to suit instead of brute-forcing it with your usual setup.
