The Division 2's Broken Rain incursion is live, dropping four agents into Steel Creek Dam and its hydroelectric plant in rural Pennsylvania to hold off a Rikers army before a storm rolls in. We covered the update itself last week; this is the part where you actually survive it. A few things worth sorting before you queue.

It's Level 40 content, and it means it

You need to hit Level 40 to walk in, and this is not tuned around a fresh 40. Ubisoft has been plain that Broken Rain expects a built character, so come with a real setup, not the greens you dinged 40 in.

Agree roles before the first door

Broken Rain leans harder on coordination than on damage. The community consensus is three DPS and one flex for the whole run, roles agreed up front. It's the kind of activity where four people freelancing gets everyone killed and four people with a plan makes it look easy.

Your prototype crutch is switched off

Prototype gear works inside, but every stat is normalised: augments off, values dropped to their minimum. So the build carrying you through open-world clears will feel very different in here. Test your real, un-prototyped kit before you rely on it.

Watch the snipers, and don't dawdle

The Rikers snipers hit hard enough to delete you if you sit still in a lane, so keep moving and call them out. Expect 30 to 60 minute runs while everyone's learning the sequence; that drops fast once it clicks. And if you want the rewards, note the Broken Rain event pass only runs through August 25. After that, it's just the incursion.
