Forza Horizon 6 is coming to PS5, and now it has a date: 26 January 2027. Playground Games confirmed it this week, which also quietly confirms a slip, since the PS5 version was originally talked up for later in 2026.

So it's late. But it's still happening, and the fact that one of Xbox's biggest first-party series is launching on a Sony console at all is the real story here. A few years ago that sentence would have read like a leak nobody believed.

The dates that matter

The base game hits PS5 on 26 January 2027. If you buy the Premium Edition you get in five days early, on 21 January. That same day, 21 January, the game's first expansion arrives, and it lands on every platform at once rather than giving the Xbox and PC crowd a head start.

There's some crossed wiring on how that expansion is paid for. Playground calls it a Premium expansion and bundles it with the pricier editions, but its own blog also describes it as a free content update for all players. Those two things can't both be fully true, so wait for the studio to clear it up before you assume which side you're on.

Price and the port job

The PS5 version matches Xbox and PC at $69.99 for the standard edition, with a $99.99 Deluxe and a $119.99 Premium above it. There's a physical disc too, and a 60fps performance mode. The port itself was handled by Panic Button working with Playground and Turn 10, which is a reassuring name to see on a job like this.
