Ubisoft has dated the last season of The Division 2's eighth year. Red Horizon, Year 8 Season 3, goes live on September 1, and it's the one that closes out the current run of new brand sets.
What's coming
The headline is the Cleaners, back in Washington's open world with a season-limited elite squad called '95 Company' to hunt down. There's a new seasonal modifier, Under Pressure, and a Blackout variant of the Dark Zone for the PvP crowd, alongside the usual round of balance changes and fresh gear.
The public test server already ran August 14 to 17, so the shape of this one is known rather than guessed. If you were poking at the Broken Rain incursion over the last couple of weeks, this is what follows it.
The honest read
It's the final season of Year 8, which is both good and slightly ominous. Good because it wraps up the brand-set drip Ubisoft has been running all year. Ominous because a live game closing out a year without a loud 'here's Year 9' leaves a question hanging over what comes next. For now, there's a full season to play, and the Blackout Dark Zone is the part worth showing up for.
