Dragon's Dogma 2 has had its biggest update in a while. Title Update 3.2 is live across PC, PS5 and Xbox Series after slipping from a late-August target, and it fixes a couple of things people have grumbled about since launch.

The save system, at last

You now get three save slots per Arisen instead of one, each holding an autosave, an interim save, and your last inn rest separately. The important part: loading your last inn rest no longer wipes your autosave and interim save. If you ever lost progress to Dragon's Dogma 2's one-save-and-you-live-with-it design, this is the fix.

Six skills, and a plague cure

Weapon skill slots go from four to six, which opens up combat quite a bit, particularly with the tougher Norgan region content on the horizon. There's also a new item, the Dragonsbaulk Draught, that cures Dragonsplague outright, so you no longer have to wait it out and hope your pawn doesn't wipe a town while you sleep.

On PC specifically, 3.2 removes Denuvo. That alone will bring some people back, and it lands alongside broad performance work across all platforms and some new PC settings.

Why now

This is groundwork. Capcom announced Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen back in June, and it arrives October 9 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and, for the first time, Switch 2. Existing owners can grab the expansion for $29.99, or there's a $49.99 bundle with the base game. Getting the saves and the skill ceiling sorted before a big new area is exactly the right order to do it in.
