BlizzCon is back in person, September 12-13 at the Anaheim Convention Center, and Blizzard has posted the full programming schedule ahead of time in its Know Before You Go rundown. Most of the big panels stream free, so you don't need a ticket to follow along. Here's what's worth blocking out.
World of Warcraft
WoW gets the heaviest billing. There are two separate 'What's Next' panels on day one, then a Deep Dive early on day two. Two What's Next slots usually means there's more than one thing to talk about, so this is the one to watch if you want the next expansion's shape.
Diablo
Diablo gets a franchise-wide developer update plus a dedicated Diablo 4 panel, and Blizzard is framing the D4 show around the series' 30th anniversary. Expect a look at upcoming seasons and features rather than a brand-new game, but a 30th-anniversary stage is exactly where a studio drops a surprise if it has one.
Overwatch and the rest
Overwatch has a Hero Deep Dive lined up to show off a new hero and upcoming gameplay changes. On the esports side, the Overwatch World Cup, MDI, AWC, the Hearthstone World Championship and the Classic Cup all return, and there's a first-ever esports halftime show with YOASOBI performing on the Sunday.
The rumours, kept in the rumour box
Ahead of the show, an alleged schedule did the rounds pointing to panels for a StarCraft shooter (dubbed 'StarCraft Infantry'), plus 'Warcraft Fables' and 'Warcraft Chronicles', as flagged by Icy Veins. None of that is on Blizzard's official schedule, which has no dedicated StarCraft panel at all. Treat the leaked lineup as unconfirmed until it's on a real stage. If StarCraft fans get anything, it'd be the nicest surprise of the weekend, but don't bank on it.
