If you've been getting deleted out of nowhere in Diablo 4's Season 10, Infernal Chaos, the first major patch (2.4.1) is live as of October 7 and it's aimed squarely at that. Chaos Wave projectiles now deal less damage, which cuts down on the unavoidable one-shots, and the stacking damage debuff from Chaos Portals has been removed. Fairer, basically.
Infernal Hordes got the biggest rework
Soulspire range is up, and Hellborne ambushes now trigger more often, so the mode stays tense rather than trailing off. Chaos Wave frequency has been dialled back so it doesn't steamroll your build, and the Aether economy has been rebalanced: base sources hand out a bit more, the fat Offering bonuses a bit less. Net effect, the rewards lean less on getting lucky with one offer.
Who got stronger
A few Chaos Powers and Perks climbed. Convocation of Spirits and A Beast Cornered are more reliable and hit harder now. On the class side, Barbarian's Single-Minded Fury and Rogue's Unpredictable Alchemy, Hit and Run and Orphan Maker all got buffs, so if you shelved one of those, it's worth another look. There's also a pile of bug fixes, including the long-running Druid Aspect of the Wildrage issue and a Sorcerer Crackling Energy fix that stops you burning through the resource too fast at high attack speed.
Nothing here reinvents the season, but it's the kind of patch that makes the grind feel less cheap. Icy Veins has the full numbers if you want to min-max around it.
